What is Baptism?

It’s really pretty simple. Baptism is a symbolic demonstration that a change has taken place in your heart and life. It is an outward expression of an inward decision to follow Jesus Christ.

Why Do We Do It?

We baptize people for several reasons: first and foremost, we do it because Jesus modeled it Himself and taught that it should be done. For the one being baptized, it says your life is not yours anymore and you have given it over to Jesus. It says the desire of your heart is to seek and long after Him; and it connects you with a community of people who share the same commitment. For our church, it powerfully and effectively reminds us that God is continually transforming lives.
