COVID-19 UPDATEs

COVID-19 STAGES

Introduction

  • With the current pandemic and stay at home orders from the State of California, we want to be wise how we begin the process of reopening Community Bible Church. While safety and personal witness are two primary concerns, we want to start preparing as we anticipate corporate worship in the near future.

  • These are simply guidelines to consider as we transition in these stages for our worship services. The only thing we know for sure is that this document will change and evolve in the coming weeks and months. Therefore, these guidelines are written for consideration and discussion and this does not imply everything in this document will be implemented.

Throughout all stages

  • Community Bible Church has already and will continue to deep clean the entire campus regularly.

  • Cleaning will be done between each service held as well.

  • Signs will be posted about not shaking hands and encourage non-contact greetings.

  • Encouraging those over 65 years old and those with health issues to continue to enjoy services online.

  • Checking in with our insurance company to make sure we are in accordance with their recommendations.

Stage 1: Online only services

  • We have determined that as a church, it is safe for all of us to just meet online. Our services are streamed through Facebook live, Instagram live, and also on our website. Zoom online community groups are in full swing as we continue to encourage one another through God's word and meeting our spiritual needs.

Stage 2: Physical Gatherings Begin

  • Once the Elders/Leadership of Community Bible Church determines it is safe and appropriate, Community Bible Church will hold physical gatherings.

  • Physical gatherings may include services on campus and in homes throughout our communities.

  • All physical gatherings will follow directly with County, State, and National recommendations.

    • Any and all services will require registration to offer proper planning and seating for all attending. This will allow the church to keep proper social distancing (around 50 people per service).

    • Masks will be available for those attending if they are in need.

    • Non-contact infrared thermometers are available to check temperatures if needed.

    • Touch-free hand sanitizer stations will be logically placed throughout the campus.

    • All doors will be open before and after services so that all attendees can experience a touch-free service.

    • BELONG KIDS will remain closed during this phase as social distancing is not feasible.

      • For kids that do attend they will attend with their parents.

      • Kids will have an opportunity to complete an activity sheet during service

      • For parents that do not feel comfortable attending with their children, online service is highly recommended.

    • The CAFE will remain closed during phase 2 to provide cleaner and less contact environments.

    • All giving can be done digitally or dropped in our tall wooden boxes. No offering or flyers will be passed.

    • Communion will be provided only as it is safe and appropriate.

Stage 3: Physical Gatherings Grow

  • Once the Elders/Leadership of Community Bible Church determine it is safe and appropriate, Community Bible Church moves to Stage 3.

  • Physical gatherings may grow in numbers depending on recommendations of physical distancing. This includes services on campus and in homes throughout our communities.

  • All physical gatherings will follow directly with County, State, and National recommendations.

    • Any and all services will require registration to offer proper planning and seating for all attending. This will allow the church to keep proper social distancing that is recommended at this time.

    • Masks will continue to be available for those attending if they are in need.

    • Non-contact infrared thermometers are available to check temperatures if needed.

    • Touch-free hand sanitizer stations will be logically placed throughout the campus.

    • All doors will be open before and after services so that all attendees can experience a touch-free service.

    • BELONG KIDS will OPEN but with restrictions.

      • In guidance with the recommendations of our County, State, and Nation our BELONG KIDS will only allow certain numbers of kids into each classroom.

      • Registration will help provide planning so all kids can enjoy their Kid's experience.

      • All Servant Leaders (Volunteers) will check temperatures, wear newly washed clothing, wash hands regularly, etc…

      • Cleaning will occur between each service as well.

    • The CAFE will OPEN with a Servant Leader supporting to keep touching of items to a minimum.

    • All giving can be done digitally or dropped in our tall wooden boxes. No offering or flyers will be passed.

    • Communion will be provided only as it is safe and appropriate.
